Availability - The Entry Form


When viewing Availability Information, 
Main Menu : Availability, select a Day, Week, Weekend, or Month to Auto fill the dates, or enter dates manually. Check-boxes for Not Available and Available are provided and add additional filters for the selected dates.

To view Availability for a specific official, select a name from the pull-down menu. The official’s availability page will load, including a calendar, an entry form, and an Existing Availability section that includes links to delete, copy, or edit entries (see Availability - Existing Entries for more information about these features). 


Single-Month and Multiple-Month Mode

EditWhen you click Edit the ’New Availability Entry’ box will be replaced with a similar box entitled ’Modify Availability Entry’. 

You can edit dates to reflect when you are available or not available. If the time-frame for a single day is not continuously available, you can add multiple entries for that day (ex: Available 8 am-9 pm, but Not Available 2 pm-5 pm). 

 
Avail / Not Avail  - The block of time you enter must be combined with wither the Not Available or Available option (be sure that one or the other is selected).
      

Date - You can manually type in the Start and End Dates (mm/dd/yyyy - ex: 09/11/2004), or set the dates by clicking a day on the calendar. If you want to set both dates, leave the "Set Dates" option as "Both" (The left-most radio button in a column by itself) and then both the Start and End Date will be filled when you click a calendar date. 

If you select the option next to "Start" or "End", only that date will be filled in when you click a calendar date

Time - You can manually type in a time (HH:MM - ex: 12:30), or click the All Day checkbox to Auto fill the Start and End Time (the block of time will apply to the entire day). If you check the "All Day" box you cannot manually edit Start or End Times. Uncheck All Day to edit times manually

Add Notes - as needed (40 characters or less) to remind yourself why an entry is blocked (Out of town) or to give the assignor special information for a particular Available or Not Available entry. Click SAVE to record your changes. If you decide that no changes are needed, click the X in the upper right hand corner to close the the Modify box and return to New Availability Entry view.


Multiple-Month Mode Only

Applies To - If you are a member of several groups on GameOfficials.net, you will have the option to choose whether your availability entry applies to All Groups you are a member of or to just one group. This gives you the ability to show availability for all assignors at once, or the ability to show availability to a specific group and not the others. 

 
Occurs - To enter a schedule that you are available for on a regular basis, fill out the availability form as usual, then select Every Week or Every Other Week in the Occurs box and then use the pull-down menu to select the number of weeks it applies to (For N/A Weeks). This automatically creates identical availability schedules for the number of weeks you indicated.

Spanning Multiple Dates - Entering availability with a start date of "4/1/05" to an end date "4/3/05" from "5:00 pm to 10:00 pm" will be interpreted as available on 4/1 from 5 pm to 10 pm, on 4/2 from 5 pm to 10 pm, and on 4/3 from 5 pm to 10 pm. If this is a recurring pattern, you can simplify your entry by using the Occurs feature described above.
