Group Maint : Import : Games

To import games you will need to have your data on an excel spreadsheet.  Make sure that all import formats are included in a single file.  Open the Game Import Template.  Make sure after opening the import template that you save it to a memorable spot.

To upload your data

  • Select the league that the imported games will be added to.
  • Select which type of import you are creating:  New Games, Game Changes, New Games & Game Changes.
  • Click the Browse button and locate your file that you want to upload.
  • Click the Upload Data button to send the file to the server for processing.

This may take just a minute depending on the size of the file and the speed of your internet connection.

Review the Games to make sure the information is what was expected.  Click to Import Data

The Import is not finished until the Import Wizard is complete.

Follow the link to continue through the wizard : Click Edit to make sure the Game Ages/Levels and Genders are in the system associated with this league : Double check that the Imported Values match the GameOfficials.net Values : If they do not match, expand the drop down box to locate the correct Age/Level/Gender

If the Age/Level/Gender does not appear in the drop down menu, it will need to be added into the system.

You can do this by clicking on Ages / Levels under the Group Maint Menu.  Once the new Age / Level is added into the system, go back to the Import Wizard by clicking on Import and continuing with the Wizard under Games - Import in Progress.  Select to Edit.  When both values match, click to Save Game Details.

A check mark will appear next to Status when this part of the wizard is complete.  Repeat the previous steps for Locations and Teams.  It is recommended to Preview the Current Import Details before you Import the Games by clicking on ’Click to Preview the Current Import Details’.

Once you have finished mapping all of your data, click the Import Games and Reset Wizard to complete the Import of Games.  Be sure to read the pop up window.

To start all over, simply select the red Click to delete Pending Imported Games and start over.  All data that was saved will be lost and you will have to start at Step 1 of the Import Wizard.

To Import Game Changes, a Game Number must be given to those games before the initial import.  This is crucial.  Without assigning a game number to the games, they will not be able to have changes made to them via the game import.  This includes games that the system has given a game number to, those games will not be able to have game changes made to them via the import wizard.
