Working with Alerts


Assignor Alerts are used to point out potential problems that arise during the assigning process. 

These problems include officials or fields that are double-booked, officials assigned above their difficulty rating, and other similar issues. 

You can review or check for alerts by going to Main Menu : Assignor Alerts. Any current alerts display in the Alert Log section. If you’ve made game or assignment changes and want to check for new alerts, click on Run alerts now.


Alerts are summarized on the Alert Information page and can be expanded for review of the details by clicking View Detail Info. 

Before expanding, however, you will be able to view the basic information and delete or ignore an alert without viewing the detailed info. If you think you have resolved the problem and you want to clear the alert from the list, choose the Delete checkbox. The alert will be cleared but it may be added again the next time alerts are run if the problem was not resolved. If you think that the the alert is unnecessary and you do not want to see it listed next time alerts are run, choose the Ignore check box. The alert will be cleared for this game/referee only, and will NOT be added again even if the problem still exists the next time alerts are run.


The expanded view gives detailed information on each alert. 

For example, let’s say that an Alert was added on 1/3/06 at 4:19 pm to let us know that the U-10 / m Eagles have an overlapping game schedule with games at both 9:00 AM and 9:30 AM. 

The details of both games are displayed and a game ID# link is provided that takes us to the Game Information / Game Details and resolve the problem (in this case we would change the game time).
